There are two methods for resetting the Roomba i7. One method can be a hard reset, and the other is the soft reset.
Let's take a look at the how to reset the hard way first. For both resets, please make sure that the Roomba i7 connects to the internet and that it is fully charged.
For SOFT RESET PROCESS hold and press the clean button on your Roomba for approximately 20 minutes. There is a light ring at the top of the Roomba that will spin or swirl to reveal white.
After that, it will wait for about a minute or so as it will take the same amount of time to get the Roomba i7. To perform the HARD RESET process, you must open the irobot application on your smartphone.
There, go to your Roomba I7 vacuum and uninstall your app. When you've removed it, the Roomba will reboot itself.
If the Roomba has been reset to its factory default settings, then you must re-configure the Roomba once more to connect to connect to your home network.
We recognize that there may be reasons for why you reset Roomba but make backups before doing this. If you do make this backup, it stores the calendar and home map to be used in the future.
We hope that you will be able to use them later on even if not right now. Backups make the reconfiguration process simple.
The process of resetting iRobot Roomba vacuums isn't always identical. There are occasions where different models have being restored to their default settings with different methods.
